Dialogue 2 This piece is a combination of my Alexander, Nefertiti, Sargon and Christ works. I call it 'Dialogue' to emphasize the difficulty civilizations have always had (and continues to have) communicating with others. In the upper left is the great Sargon, or a bust of what is believed to be Sargon. He is superimposed upon a background of cuneiform signs. Next is the famous bust of Nefertiti, wife to the monotheistic Egyptian Pharaoh Akhenaten. She is superimposed upon a background of Egyptian hieroglyphs, which are in fact a cryptogram for some of my views on art and education. Next is Alexander the Great as depicted in the famous Alexander Mosaic. He is superimposed upon a mosaic background and the letters of the Greek alphabet in relief.
Last depicted is Jesus Christ. He is superimposed upon a background of Aramaic alphabetical signs. Medium: Digital Print Print 8"x10": $9.99 |
